  HEART TO HEART

A Couples' Enrichment Weekend Retreat

Registration & Waiting List - General Information

Wait List:   Status

SPACES AT OUR RETREATS ARE LIMITED and are assigned first to couples whose completed registration forms and payments we have actually received.  After a weekend fills, we will maintain a waiting list for use in case of last-minute cancellations.

Occasionally registered couples need to cancel.  Mostly, they do so a week or more ahead of time.  Sometimes we receive a call a day or two before the retreat.  Because of our retreat center contract obligations, we cannot refund payments for last-minute cancellations unless an alternate couple is found to fill the unexpected space.

If we receive your registration after all spaces have been filled, we will hold your payment check, add your names to our waiting list, and notify you of your wait-list status.  You may withdraw from the waiting list at any time by asking us to return your deposit check.  If you decide to stay on the waiting list, please provide as many up-to-date telephone contact numbers as you can.

We do recognize that last-moment changes can be impossible to implement.  For a few couples, a day or two would be enough time to make plans before attending the retreat.  For many, two weeks would be too little.

FIRST PAID, FIRST IN LINE - Rarely, but more often than we like, hard feelings arise over who gets to be registered and/or closest to the top of the waiting list.  For example, if "John" telephones to say that his payment will be put into the mail, but an hour later "Alice" hand-delivers her payment, we face the question of who registered first.  And so, in an attempt to be fair to everyone, you will be registered or placed on our waiting list in the order that we actually receive your registration form and payment.

IF A SPACE OPENS and you are at the top of the waiting list, we will attempt to contact you.  We will ask for your immediate "yes" or "no."  If less than 3-weeks remain before the retreat and we are not able to talk to you when we call, we will contact the next couple on the list.

If you say "Yes," we will cash your check and see you at the retreat.

If you say "Maybe" or "We aren't sure" or "Can you wait for our answer?" please understand our need to call the next couple on the list so that the canceling couple has a better chance to receive a refund.

If you say "No," or if we do not contact and actually talk to you, your payment will be returned to you.

If you want to attend and can make a fast last-minute decision to do so, please contact us:
